Emeralds has been in business since 2001 and is owned and operated by Esmeralda, a former belly dancer of some 20 years, who designs, dyes, paints and sews all the garments sold therein. While not the traditional cabaret belly dance costumes, they are unique designs inspired by various Middle Eastern, North African and bohemian traditions and cultures. They combine beautifully with cabaret style bras and belts for a different look. Our sumptuously dyed china silk veils are preferred over any other fabric for most belly dancers. Emeralds also makes fashions for street wear, inspired by the exotic costumes and clothing of Middle Eastern dance and history.
